Today's post is related to a question we get from many of you. We receive emails all the time asking how a person can make money blogging as a beginner.
Sometimes we get emails from bloggers, but most times the emails are from readers who do not have a blog but are interested in starting a blog.
If you are interested in starting a blog, we have created a tutorial that will help you get started in less than 15 minutes. Start your blog for cheap at only $3.95 per month (this low price is only through our link) for blog hosting.
Also, the low pricing includes a free blog domain ($15 value) through our Bluehost link if you purchase at least 12 months of blog hosting.
Most importantly, you want to be self-hosted if you want to make money with your blog. You will appear more professional and it will help greatly.
When we started our blog we had no idea you can actually make money. As of today, our income is mainly from affiliate marketing. Income from blogging starts off slow but finding different income methods definitely helps.

Make money blogging with affiliate marketing
Affiliate income is something we have been working hard on to increase our blogging income. We believe this will help us grow our blog and increase consistently.
Affiliate income is a great option because you can create reviews, posts, etc. and then that post can make you money years in the future with very little work needed to maintain the post.
Passive income is what most people are looking for and affiliate income is somewhat passive. This is what we love most about it.
Affiliate marketing is where you have a unique link for products or services you recommend in your blog posts or on social media.
You can also send out affiliate marketing through your email list (having an email list is important!). We use ConvertKit for our email marketing and it works great. Click here to learn more about ConvertKit.
We believe that recommending products that you believe into your readers is great.
It helps your readers and also your blog. In fact, there are a lot of affiliate programs out there, and you can check for your favorite products to see if they have an affiliate program.
When someone clicks your affiliate link (such as our Bluehost link) and makes a purchase (according to the requirements of the affiliate program), you then make money. However, there's usually a 30 or 60-day waiting period for your funds to be paid out.
Here are a few affiliate programs we use to find our favorite products:
Write/consult to make money blogging as a beginner
A great way to make money blogging is to write and consult for others sites. There's usually a fee associated with writing and consulting for other sites set by you or the website owner.
In general, it's becoming very common for websites to have staff writers and contributors.
Blog consulting can occur in a few different ways. You can help bloggers learn how to blog, create a website, manage a website, set up email marketing, and a number of other things.
For example, you can offer help and be available by phone or email and pretty much be their "coach" when it comes to blogging.
You can place ads pretty much anywhere on your blog. To explain, most bloggers place ads in their sidebars or at the beginning of a post but you can also place them within a post or only on your homepage.
Some companies to use for advertising include Media.net, Google Adsense, Infolinks, and many more.
It's an easy way to make money blogging once you have traffic to your website. In fact, all you have to do is insert the code that is provided to you by the advertising company.
Sponsored posts can be a great way to make money blogging and get your blog in front of a new audience.
For example, if the brand you're working with has a big audience, it can lead to more traffic to your blog and social media pages.
The first thing to do prior to reaching out to companies is to create a media kit. The is basically your blog resume and gives a bio and relevant data about your blog. You may also want to include a friendly photo of yourself.
Above all, we recommend you include your website traffic details and social media statistics in your media kit. To go further, it will be even better to include your demographic information about your audience.
In order to find sponsored opportunities, you can work with a sponsorship network or you can reach out to different brands directly.
Here are a few popular options for sponsored posts:
Sell your own products to make money blogging
This may be our favorite monetization method of all. For instance, you can sell digital or physical products on your website.
Creating and selling your own products is highly rewarding.
In fact, your blog can be used as a platform to gain customers to purchase your products.
If you have a food guide that you promote on social media, consider writing posts about cooking or dieting then funnel your readers over to your product.
Our blog was created to educate people on how to manage their money, pay off debt, and build generational wealth. So, we created an online course called Find Your Money Master Plan.

We've helped people in this course have hope with financial decisions and we'd love to help you too. You can check out Find Your Money Master Plan here and receive a free online course in the meantime.
